Compare the KAITO Great Wave and Megurine Luka Gotenyama 3D magnets from the Hokusai x Hatsune Miku series, with pre-order timing and display advice.

Quick answer

Choose the KAITO 3D Magnet if you want the instantly recognizable Great Wave off Kanagawa on your fridge; choose the Megurine Luka 3D Magnet if you prefer the quieter Mt. Fuji from Gotenyama Hill scene. Both are pre-order items from the same Hokusai x Hatsune Miku series, so your decision comes down to artwork and whether you can wait until the December 2026 dispatch.

The artwork is the real difference

These two magnets share a series, a manufacturer (Presence), a pre-order window, and a dispatch month. The catalog does not list dimensions, magnet strength, or backing material, so you cannot compare them on build specs. What you can compare is the image each one reproduces.

The KAITO version uses The Great Wave off Kanagawa, a crashing wave with a dramatic, high-contrast composition. The Luka version uses Mt. Fuji from Gotenyama Hill in Shinagawa on the Tokaido, a calmer landscape view. If your display space is a busy fridge door, the wave reads better from a distance; if it is a quieter magnetic board, the Fuji scene holds its own.

Pre-order timing and commitment

Both magnets close for pre-order on August 02, 2026, and both are expected to dispatch in December 2026. That is roughly a four-month wait after the window closes. The listing also states that once payment is completed, cancellation is generally not accepted, though that policy does not affect your rights for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.

That makes this a commitment purchase rather than a casual add-on. If you are unsure which artwork you want, decide before the August deadline rather than ordering both and hoping to cancel one later.

Price and pairing

The catalog prices are close: USD 6.20 for the Luka magnet and USD 6.29 for the KAITO magnet, both against a USD 8.99 comparison price. The gap is small enough that price should not drive the choice. If you are buying for a shared collection, the two scenes are different enough to display side by side without looking repetitive.

Decision rules for choosing your magnet

If you want the most recognizable image: Pick the KAITO 3D Magnet with The Great Wave off Kanagawa. The wave is a bold, familiar composition that stands out on a fridge door or metal board. Check that your display surface is magnetic before ordering.
If you prefer a calmer landscape: Pick the Megurine Luka 3D Magnet with Mt. Fuji from Gotenyama Hill. The scene is quieter and suits a desk board or a less cluttered display area.
If you are buying as a gift: Confirm the recipient is comfortable waiting until the December 2026 dispatch, and place the order before the August 02, 2026 pre-order deadline. Late orders after the window closes may not be fulfilled.
If you cannot decide between the two: Choose based on where it will live: the wave for a high-traffic fridge, the Fuji scene for a quieter magnetic board. Do not order both as a hedge, because cancellation after payment is generally not accepted.
